Welcome! I'm glad you're here.
I provide therapy in a welcoming, calming environment that allows my clients to feel safe and understood. I help children, teens and young adults overcome their constant feelings of worry, fear, and uneasiness. If you're a caregiver and you're looking for extra support to help your child, or you’re a teen/young adult seeking a therapist, you've come to the right place. Throughout sessions with me, my clients overcome their anxieties, feel empowered, decrease behavior problems, and see overall improvement in their lives.
I began my work in Denver as a Family Service Provider, which included providing in-home therapy to children and families dealing with challenges such as depression, substance abuse, and self-harm, among others. I then transitioned into School Social Work, working in the public school system at the elementary and middle level with children in need of social/emotional support and crisis intervention. From there, I pursued my long-term goal of opening a private practice.
I love the work that I do and I am so grateful for my wonderful clients who invite me into their therapy process. My love for therapy began when I was on the other side of the therapist's office as a client. Having been through it myself, I have a unique advantage as a therapist to understand where my clients are coming from when they share their story. I currently offer virtual therapy (video and/or phone) to residents of Colorado and in-person and/or virtual therapy to residents in the Chicagoland area.
I hold a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Colorado State University and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Denver with a clinical concentration in High-Risk Youth. I hold a certificate in Interpersonal Trauma Studies from DU and I am trained in trauma informed care. Additionally, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of Colorado and Illinois.
When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my husband, friends, and family.

EXPERIENCE & Training
I strongly believe that it is important for me to continue ongoing professional development in order to provide the best therapeutic services. I regularly seek out and attend continuing education sessions that are in line with my client demographic (ie self-harm, suicidal ideation identification with teens, etc).
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and attend monthly networking/cohort groups to collaborate with my colleagues. Lastly, my background in School Social Work enables me to understand the functions of the public school system and how school-based services impact children and adolescents.
